History

Wagon Wheel Media (WWM) was founded in early 2020, but the history goes much deeper. Firstly, the name in itself – Wagon Wheel Media. Founder/CEO, JP Weidemoyer, has an interesting story from which he will take over for a bit.

Hello friend – JP here. The name or my nickname to a number of friends and professors in college was bestowed upon me all the way back in 2000. It was the first time I was privileged enough to ride the “High-school bus” which was where 5th-12th grade rode together. My brother’s friend had us sit in the back with his older brother. His older brother had never met me before and asked me my name. I told him my name, Jeff Weidemoyer. “Did you just say your last name is Wagon Wheel?!” And the rest is history, or should I say the present. A name and story like that don’t tend to go away quietly. It was often my nickname for close friends and even coaches called me by that nickname, which followed me to college where several high school friends also attended. Many professors also called me by this name as well, as it just stuck. That scene from Superbad is so fucking true. But enough about me. More WWM.

As mentioned WWM was founded in early 2020 after JP Weidemoyer was laid off from a previous employment position with a Landscape Architecture firm in Lititz. A name that is still currently removed from JP’s LinkedIn profile. Yeah – that bad, huh.

But the poor luck would continue, however, as you may recall by March of 2020, things “Got real”, for everyone across the globe in battling with the pandemic. Obviously, those who were fortunate enough to have survived COVID-19, and to have come out on the other side should all feel grateful. Fast-forward roughly a year later, and WWM began to come back alive in many senses of the word. Another Renaissance of sorts occurred within WWM, and the vision was further written in stone, so to speak. The 5-spokes are key to what the future holds for WWM. Surely several will eventually be added, but they will only be secondary to the primary core.

MAWPD, pronounced “Mopped”, was coined in early 2019 by JP Weidemoyer. This is the primary focus for all things WWM. This acronym of sorts stands for Music, Art, Writing, Photography, and Design. Categories that JP Weidemoyer has much experience in. It should be noted now that WWM began as essentially a way for JP Weidemoyer to consolidate all of his current creative outlets in a more marketable way. One man trying to juggle as much as he was should be avoided at all costs.

But one name to which market all of the above – sign JP Weidemoyer right on up. A solo enterprise of sorts to start, but the goal is to bring on other like-minded people.

Company Milestones:

2020: Company Founded. Very little progress due to COVD-19. RIP to all those who passed.

2021: Company structure began to take further shape. Founder/Owner JP Weidemoyer started a spiritual/physical journey that will surely help to shape the future of Wagon Wheel Media.

Here’s to 2021 and beyond. Just remember – Life is a dark portrait, painted in color. And If you wish to help secure the future of Wagon Wheel Media, I ask you to please visit my Contribute page as a way to show your support.
